       Parent News:  

• As you noticed, I did not send home assignment books or homework last week. We are practicing our routines and procedures at this point, so things will be added slowly. Look for the assignment book to come home every night this week. Homework for this week will be Memory Work and Reading. We will not add Spelling yet. The paper packet will come home Monday night. It will include the seatwork (done in school) from last week and other parent information.

• We could use extra copies of Little House in the Big Woods . Please send to school if you have a copy at home and we will return it when we are through. Thanks!

• If any parent is interested in attending our January 30 play to the symphony, please send $5 to school by Friday, September 12. We need to reserve early. Time is early afternoon.

• Ask your child to sing the Galatians 5:22 song for you. J

• Ask your child what the phrase "every map has a toad" means.

Today we picked out a postcard from Jacob Peter. He visited the House on the Rock and told us about it.

              I was star today! We had a fun day. We played some mind games with our pods and cleaned up. We had our AR store. Mrs. W. passed out report cards. I brought a birthday cake and Rayanne brought candy.
